Short answer
As of October 2026, public listings in Cairo put a full acrylic denture at roughly 5,000–20,000 EGP per jaw (most 5,000–15,000), flexible partial dentures at about 3,000–10,000 EGP, and cobalt-chrome partials from about 9,000 to 20,000 EGP. A lower denture held by 2 implants costs far more, roughly 35,000–110,000 EGP. The exact cost depends on an examination.

If you are pricing a denture in Cairo, you have probably already heard three very different numbers from three different places. That is normal, and it is not always about who is cheaper. A denture is not a product taken off a shelf: it is built for your mouth over several visits, and the type of denture, the materials and the number of clinical steps all change the price.
Below are realistic ranges as of October 2026, from public listings in Cairo (clinic price pages and booking platforms). They are a guide for comparing quotes, not a price list, and the exact cost for you always depends on an examination.
How much is a denture in Egypt by type?
| Type of denture | Typical range in Cairo listings | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Full (complete) acrylic denture, one jaw | About 5,000–20,000 EGP (most listings 5,000–15,000) | Upper and lower together usually cost about twice the single-jaw price |
| Partial acrylic denture | About 5,000–10,000 EGP | Fewer missing teeth usually means a lower price; often used as a temporary option |
| Flexible partial denture (often called "silicone" or "flex") | About 3,000–10,000 EGP | Platforms aimed at visitors quote higher, around USD 250–400 |
| Cobalt-chrome (metal frame) partial denture | From about 9,000 EGP, commonly up to 20,000 EGP | Thinner and stronger; needs suitable supporting teeth |
| Implant-retained overdenture (2 implants, lower jaw) | Roughly 35,000–110,000 EGP; about 60,000–160,000 EGP on 4 implants | Includes the implants and attachments; varies most between clinics |
For comparison, a fixed full-arch bridge on 4–6 implants is a different treatment altogether, with Cairo listings ranging from about 80,000 to over 200,000 EGP per jaw. You can read how the two compare in fixed vs removable dentures.
What changes the price of a denture?
Two dentures can look similar on the day you receive them and behave very differently six months later. These are the main things behind the difference in quotes.
The material and design
Acrylic is the standard, repairable and easy to reline. Flexible nylon-type bases look discreet but are harder to adjust or add teeth to. Cobalt-chrome frames are thin and strong but need more lab work. Our guide to flexible vs acrylic vs chrome dentures explains which suits which mouth.
The quality of the artificial teeth
Basic single-layer acrylic teeth cost less. Multi-layer teeth look more natural and resist wear better, which matters if you want the denture to keep its shape and bite for years.
The number of clinical steps
A carefully made complete denture usually involves a first impression, a custom tray and a second, more accurate impression, recording how your jaws meet, a try-in of the teeth in wax, and then delivery and adjustments. Very cheap offers often save money by skipping steps, and the result is usually a denture that rubs, clicks or moves.
What has to happen first
Extractions, treating gum disease, smoothing sharp bone or making an immediate (temporary) denture first all add to the total. So do a soft lining, a reline after healing or a second set.
What is included afterwards
Ask whether the quote includes the adjustment visits in the first weeks. Almost every new denture needs a few small corrections as your gums settle.
Why are some denture offers so cheap?
A low price is not automatically a bad sign, but be careful when a quote is far below the ranges above. Common reasons are a single quick impression, no try-in, basic teeth, no follow-up visits, or the denture being made by a technician without a dentist examining your mouth. A denture that does not fit properly can cause sore spots, ulcers and faster shrinkage of the gum ridge, so a cheap denture can become expensive if it has to be remade.
Is an implant denture worth the extra cost?
For many people with a loose lower denture, yes. An international consensus statement from McGill University (2002) recommended the two-implant lower overdenture as the first-choice standard of care for people with no lower teeth, because it makes the denture far more stable for chewing and speaking. It costs several times more than a conventional denture and needs small maintenance visits for the attachments, so it is a personal decision. We break down those costs in implant overdenture cost in Egypt.
How long will my denture last, and what will it cost to maintain?
A conventional denture typically lasts about 7–10 years, and most need a reline every one to two years as the jaw changes, according to Cleveland Clinic. Budget for a yearly check, an occasional reline and replacement every several years. Spreading the cost of a good denture over that time is often more useful than chasing the lowest first price. More detail is in how long do dentures last.
Who should not choose a denture on price alone?
- People with very little bone left in the lower jaw, who often struggle with any conventional lower denture and may benefit from implants.
- Anyone with untreated gum disease or loose remaining teeth, which need treating before a partial denture is made.
- People with a strong gag reflex or dry mouth, who need a design planned around that.
- Anyone with a sore or ulcer under an old denture that has not healed in two weeks; this needs checking before a new denture is made.
How to compare denture quotes in Cairo
- Ask what type of denture and which teeth are quoted.
- Ask how many visits are planned and whether there is a try-in.
- Ask what is included after delivery: adjustments, relines, repairs.
- Ask for the plan and estimate in writing so you can compare calmly.
How Prof. Nouran plans your denture
At El Nabi Dental Clinic in Maadi, your denture is planned and checked by Prof. Nouran, a Professor of Prosthodontics at Cairo University. Prosthodontics is the specialty of replacing teeth, so the fit, bite and appearance of a denture are exactly her field. She has also published research on implant-retained overdentures, so if a conventional denture is unlikely to be stable for you, she can explain the implant options and their real trade-offs before you spend anything.
