Editorial policy
People use our website to make decisions about their health and their money, so we hold our content to clear standards. This page explains who writes it, who checks it and how we keep it accurate.
Who writes and who reviews our content
Content is drafted by the clinic's content team based on Prof. Nouran Abdel Nabi's clinical approach and the questions patients ask us most. Every page with clinical content, including service pages, answers to common questions, cost guides and articles, is medically reviewed and approved by Prof. Nouran Abdel Nabi before it is published. Each reviewed page shows the reviewer's name and the date of the last review.
Use of AI-assisted drafting
We sometimes use AI tools to help produce first drafts, translations between Arabic and English, or summaries. AI-assisted text is never published as it is. It is checked against our sources, edited for accuracy and tone, and reviewed and approved by the dentist before publishing, exactly like any other draft.
Sources we rely on
We base clinical information on:
- peer-reviewed dental and medical research, including systematic reviews where available;
- guidance from recognised health organisations such as the World Health Organization, the UK's National Health Service and the American Dental Association;
- Prof. Nouran's own clinical experience and published research in prosthodontics.
Price information for Cairo is based on publicly available listings at the time of writing and is labelled with that date. We always state that the exact cost depends on an examination.
How we write
We explain treatments in plain words first and then name the technical term. We describe who a treatment is not right for, its risks and its alternatives, not only its benefits. We avoid superlatives and promises of results, because outcomes vary from person to person.
Review cycle
- Service pages and answers to common questions are reviewed at least once a year.
- Cost guides are reviewed at least every 6 months, because prices change quickly.
- Any page is updated sooner if guidance, techniques or our services change.
Corrections
If you believe something on our website is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us by phone or WhatsApp. We check every report. Where we find an error, we correct the page promptly and update its review date. Significant corrections to clinical information are noted on the page.
Independence and no paid placements
We do not accept payment, free products or other benefits in exchange for mentioning brands, products or other businesses. When we name a material, such as zirconia or E.max, it is because it is relevant to your treatment choice, not because anyone paid for it.
Our content supports, but never replaces, a personal examination. Please also read our medical disclaimer.
