# Dental implant cost in Cairo (2026): what you actually pay for

Implant prices in Cairo range from a few thousand pounds to well over 200,000 EGP for a full jaw. Here is what sits behind those numbers and how to compare quotes fairly.

Key takeaways

- Public Cairo listings in October 2026 show single implants at roughly 10,000–30,000 EGP, with discount offers from about 5,950 EGP.
- The implant screw is only one part of the bill: scans, the abutment, the crown and any bone grafting all add up.
- A low headline price often excludes the crown, the abutment or the CBCT scan, so always ask what is included.
- Full-jaw solutions range from about 40,000 to more than 200,000 EGP depending on the design and number of implants.
- Only an examination and a 3D scan can give you a real number; ask any clinic for a written, itemised plan.

You have probably seen it already: one clinic advertises dental implants for under 6,000 EGP, another quotes 25,000 EGP for what sounds like the same treatment, and a third will not give a number until you come in. It is confusing, and it makes many people in Cairo either delay treatment or choose on price alone.

This guide explains what a dental implant actually costs in Cairo in 2026, what you are paying for at each stage, and how to compare quotes so you are comparing like with like. The figures below are market ranges from public listings in October 2026, not El Nabi Dental Clinic prices. Your own cost can only be confirmed after an examination.

## Dental implant prices in Cairo: the 2026 market ranges

Based on public listings in Cairo, and in Maadi in particular, as of October 2026, these are the typical ranges patients see:

| Treatment | Typical Cairo range (Oct 2026) | What usually explains the spread |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Consultation | 200–500 EGP | Whether X-rays or a scan review are included |
| Single implant (Maadi listings) | About 10,000–30,000 EGP | Implant system, whether the abutment and crown are included |
| Discount implant offers | About 5,950–7,800 EGP | Often the implant fixture only; crown and parts billed separately |
| Zirconia crown on the implant | Roughly USD 95–250 equivalent | Laboratory, material grade, single unit or bridge |
| Full jaw on implants | About 40,000–200,000+ EGP | Number of implants, removable vs fixed, temporary vs final teeth |
| Conventional dentures (for comparison) | 8,000–15,000 EGP acrylic; 10,000–20,000 EGP chrome | Material and design |

These numbers move with the exchange rate, because most implant components and many laboratory materials are imported. Treat them as a starting point for questions, not as a quote.

## What a dental implant is made of, and why each part has a cost

An implant restoration has three main parts. Thinking about them separately is the easiest way to understand a quote.

- **The implant (fixture):** a small titanium or titanium-alloy screw placed in the jawbone. It replaces the tooth root.
- **The abutment:** the connector that sits on the implant and holds the crown. It can be a standard (stock) part or custom-made.
- **The crown:** the visible tooth, made in a dental laboratory from zirconia, lithium disilicate (E.max) or metal-ceramic.

When a price looks very low, it is usually because only the first of these three is included. You can read more about the full process on our [dental implants page](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/services/dental-implants/).

## The cost factors, step by step

### 1. Consultation, X-rays and the CBCT scan

Planning an implant safely needs a three-dimensional view of the bone. A CBCT scan (cone-beam CT) shows bone height, width and the position of nerves and the sinus. Some clinics include it in the consultation; many refer you to a radiology centre and you pay separately. Skipping this step to save money is a false economy, because it is how complications such as nerve injury are avoided.

### 2. The implant system

Implant systems differ in research history, manufacturing quality and, importantly, in how easy it is to get compatible spare parts years later. A well-documented system is generally more expensive. Ask which system will be used and whether its parts are widely available in Egypt, because you may need a replacement screw or abutment in ten years, possibly from a different dentist.

### 3. The abutment

Stock abutments cost less and work well in many back-tooth cases. Custom abutments, shaped for your gum line, may be recommended for front teeth or angled implants. Either can be appropriate; the question is whether it is included in your quote.

### 4. The crown material

Zirconia is strong and widely used on implants. E.max can look very natural on front teeth but is chosen more carefully where bite forces are heavy. Metal-ceramic crowns cost less but may show a grey edge over time if the gum recedes. Our guide to zirconia vs E.max vs porcelain crowns covers the trade-offs.

### 5. Bone grafting and sinus lift

After a tooth is lost, the bone around it slowly shrinks. If there is not enough bone to hold an implant, you may need a bone graft, or in the upper back jaw a sinus lift. These add cost, time (often several months of healing) and some additional risk. Not everyone needs them, and a good CBCT will show whether you do. See [bone graft and sinus lift explained](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/faq/bone-graft-and-sinus-lift/).

### 6. Number of implants

Replacing three missing back teeth does not always need three implants. In many cases two implants supporting a three-unit bridge are enough, which lowers cost. The reverse is also true: a single long gap may need more support than a simple bridge can give.

### 7. Full-arch options

If you have lost most or all teeth in a jaw, the choice is broader than "implants or no implants":

- **Implant-retained overdenture:** a removable denture that clips onto two or more implants. Usually the most affordable implant option for a full jaw, especially the lower jaw.
- **Fixed full-arch bridge (all-on-4 style):** a non-removable set of teeth on four to six implants. More expensive, and it needs careful cleaning and regular reviews.
- **Implant-by-implant restoration:** individual crowns and bridges on more implants. Usually the highest cost and needs good bone throughout.

The full-mouth implants page explains each option in more detail.

## Why a cheap implant offer can cost more later

There are honest reasons a clinic may offer a lower price: lower overheads, a promotional period, or a simpler case. But a very low price can also hide costs that appear later. Common examples:

- **Parts not included:** the abutment and crown are billed separately, sometimes doubling the final figure.
- **No 3D planning:** an implant placed without a CBCT is more likely to be in a poor position, which can make the crown hard to clean or look wrong.
- **Little-known implant systems:** if parts become unavailable, a loose screw or broken abutment can become a complicated repair.
- **Rushed loading:** putting a crown on too early in unsuitable bone can increase the risk of the implant failing to integrate.
- **No follow-up:** implants need periodic checks. Peri-implantitis (gum and bone inflammation around an implant) is easier to manage when caught early.

Re-treating a failed implant typically means removing it, waiting for healing, often grafting bone, and starting again. That can cost more than doing it carefully the first time.

## Is a dental implant right for you?

Implants work well for most healthy adults with enough bone, but they are not the right choice for everyone. Extra care, or a different plan, may be needed if you:

- smoke heavily (smoking is linked to higher implant failure rates);
- have poorly controlled diabetes;
- take, or have taken, bone-modifying drugs such as some osteoporosis medications;
- have had radiotherapy to the head and neck;
- have active gum disease that has not been treated.

Alternatives include a conventional bridge, a partial denture or a full denture. Each has a different cost profile and lifespan; our comparison of implants vs bridge vs denture sets them side by side. ## Questions to ask any clinic before you agree to a price

Whichever clinic you choose, these questions help you compare quotes fairly:

1. Is the CBCT scan included, and will you show me the scan and explain it?
2. Which implant system will you use, and are its parts easy to source in Egypt?
3. Does the price include the abutment and the final crown? Which crown material?
4. Will I need a bone graft or sinus lift, and is that included or extra?
5. Is there a temporary tooth during healing, and is it included?
6. How many visits, and how many months, should I expect in total?
7. What follow-up visits are included after the crown is fitted?
8. What happens, and what will it cost, if the implant does not integrate?
9. Can I have the plan and the price in writing, itemised?

A clinic that answers these clearly, without pressure, is usually a clinic that plans carefully.

## Paying for implants: instalments and staged treatment

Because implant treatment happens over several months, many patients in Cairo spread the cost. In general terms, the options people use include:

- **Paying by treatment stage:** the surgical stage first, then the crown stage months later.
- **Phasing the treatment:** treating the most important gap first and the rest later.
- **Consumer instalment services or bank card plans:** some patients use third-party instalment providers; read the terms and the total cost carefully.
- **Insurance:** some employer or private plans cover part of the cost, though implants are often limited or excluded. Check your policy.

Payment arrangements differ between clinics, so ask directly what is available before treatment starts.

## How El Nabi Dental Clinic prices implant treatment

At our clinic in Maadi, implant treatment is led by [Prof. Nouran Abdel Nabi](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/dr-nouran-abdel-nabi/), a Professor of Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at Cairo University whose published work focuses on implant-retained overdentures. In practice, our approach to cost is simple:

- We examine you and review the imaging before we discuss a final figure.
- We explain the options that suit your mouth, including non-implant alternatives where they make sense.
- You receive a written treatment plan that lists each stage and what it includes, so there are no surprise items later.

We do not quote a final price over the phone, because without an examination any number would be a guess.

## A worked example: comparing two implant quotes

Imagine you are missing one lower back tooth and you receive two quotes. Quote A is 7,000 EGP. Quote B is 22,000 EGP. On paper, A looks like a third of the price. Then you ask what each includes.

Quote A covers the implant fixture and its placement. The CBCT scan is done at an outside centre and paid separately, the abutment is extra, and the crown is quoted later "depending on the material". Quote B includes the scan review, the implant, a stock abutment, a zirconia crown and two follow-up visits.

Once the missing items are added to Quote A at typical market rates, the gap between the two often becomes much smaller, and sometimes disappears. The point is not that the higher quote is always better. It is that you can only judge value when both quotes describe the same treatment from start to finish.

A useful habit is to write each quote into the same simple list: scan, implant system, abutment, crown material, grafting, temporary tooth, follow-up. Any blank line is a question to ask before you decide.

## Next step

If you are comparing implant quotes or simply want to understand your options, the most useful next step is a consultation and, where needed, a scan. You will leave with a clear explanation and a written plan you can take away and think about.
