From El Rehab to Maadi by car
Most Rehab residents leave the city onto the Cairo–Suez Road, then join the Ring Road and head west and south towards Maadi, taking a Maadi exit. An alternative is to cut through New Cairo via 90th Street to reach the Ring Road. Off-peak, either route is usually about 30–45 minutes; the Suez Road junctions and the Ring Road can be congested at peak times.
There is no metro connection, so a car or ride-hailing service is the practical option. We send the clinic's exact location and a map pin on WhatsApp after you book.
What Rehab families come to Maadi for
Rehab is home to many families with grandparents living in the same flat or nearby, and our Rehab patients often come in pairs: an adult child arranging care for a parent, and sometimes booking their own consultation at the same time. The most common topics are implants for missing back teeth, dentures that no longer fit, and molars that might still be saved.
- Implants for missing molars — where bone and health allow; read how long do dental implants last?
- Dentures for older relatives — new dentures, relines or implant-retained overdentures.
- Root canal treatment — when a tooth can be predictably saved, keeping it is often preferable to removing it.
Why a prosthodontist
Deciding between saving a tooth, replacing it with an implant or including it in a denture is exactly where specialist judgement helps. Prof. Nouran Abdel Nabi is a Professor of Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at Cairo University, with published research on dentures retained by implants. She weighs the long-term picture: what happens to the neighbouring teeth, how the bite will function and how easy the result will be to maintain at home.
Implants carry risks such as infection, failure to bond with the bone and, in some sites, nerve or sinus complications. They are less predictable in heavy smokers and people with uncontrolled diabetes. For older relatives, the ability to clean around implants matters as much as the surgery. Tip: book two consultations back to back
If you are bringing a parent, consider booking your own checkup or consultation in the slot after theirs, so one drive covers both. Message us on WhatsApp with each person's main concern and medical history in advance. For routine cleanings, Rehab's own clinics are more convenient; the trip to Maadi is for planning that deserves specialist attention.

Common questions
How long does it take from El Rehab to the clinic?
Off-peak, usually about 30–45 minutes via the Suez Road and the Ring Road, depending on which gate you use and traffic at the junctions. Peak-hour traffic can make it considerably longer. We send a map pin on WhatsApp so you can check the live route before you leave.
Can my mother and I be seen on the same visit?
Usually we can try to arrange consecutive appointments so one journey covers both of you. Message us on WhatsApp with each person's main concern, and mention any medical conditions or medications for your mother, so the time allowed is realistic and nothing has to be rushed.
Should I save my painful molar or replace it with an implant?
If the tooth has enough healthy structure and the roots and bone are sound, root canal treatment followed by a crown is often the first choice. If it is badly cracked or the bone around it is lost, an implant or bridge may be more predictable. An examination and X-ray are needed to decide.
