# Dentures and Implants for El Obour City Residents

El Obour City is a place of early starts: traders at the wholesale market, owners and staff in the industrial zone, and families who moved out for space and quiet. Time off work is precious, so our focus for Obour patients is fewer, better-planned visits, especially for dentures and implants where getting the plan right first matters most.

Getting to our clinic

Take the Cairo–Ismailia Desert Road towards Cairo, join the Ring Road heading south and continue to Maadi, usually about 40–60 minutes off-peak.

## Why patients from El Obour City come to Prof. Nouran

### Fewer, well-planned visits

Your treatment is planned clearly from the first visit, so you know how many trips to expect. That saves time when you are travelling across Cairo.

### A specialist plans your case

Prof. Nouran is a Professor of Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at Cairo University. You get specialist planning without having to search for it.

### A written estimate before you start

You receive your plan and estimate in writing before any treatment. You can compare calmly and decide in your own time.

### Easy to reach, easy to ask

The clinic is in Golden Gate Tower on the Autostrad in Maadi. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send the location pin and the simplest route.

## From El Obour to Maadi

From most of El Obour, take the Cairo–Ismailia Desert Road towards Cairo and join the Ring Road heading south, past Nasr City and New Cairo junctions, towards Maadi. Off-peak, the trip is usually about 40–60 minutes. Truck traffic near the market and peak hours on the Ring Road can make it longer, so many Obour patients prefer midday appointments.

There is no metro connection. We send exact directions to the clinic and a map pin on WhatsApp after you book.

## What Obour patients commonly need

Patients from El Obour often arrive having put off treatment for a long time because of work. By then a tooth may have broken down badly, a partial denture may have stopped fitting after more teeth were lost, or a gap has been left for years. Our first task is to sort out what can still be saved and what needs replacing, in a sensible order.

- **Partial and complete dentures** — including what to expect in the first weeks; see [flexible vs acrylic vs chrome dentures](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/faq/flexible-vs-acrylic-vs-chrome-dentures/).
- **Root canal treatment** — for painful teeth that are still restorable, often followed by a crown.
- **Implants** — for single gaps or to stabilise a denture, where suitable.

## Why a prosthodontist's plan saves time later

When several problems exist at once, treating them in the wrong order can mean redoing work. A partial denture, for example, should be designed after decisions are made about which teeth stay. Prof. Nouran Abdel Nabi is a Professor of Prosthodontics and Dental Implants at Cairo University, with published research on implant-retained dentures, and plans the whole sequence before starting.

Implants are not suitable for everyone. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, certain medications and poor bone can increase complications, and an implant needs regular cleaning and checkups. A well-designed partial denture or bridge is sometimes the more practical choice. Read about the options on our [dentures page](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/services/dentures/) and [root canal page](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/services/root-canal/).

## Tip: if you are in pain, start locally

If you have severe toothache or swelling, see the nearest available dentist first rather than waiting to travel; our guide on [dental emergencies](https://elnabidentalclinic.com/en/faq/what-to-do-in-a-dental-emergency/) explains the warning signs. Once the urgent problem is controlled, a planned consultation in Maadi can map out longer-term treatment. Routine checkups are also more convenient in Obour; the trip is for planning.

## Common questions

What time of day is easiest to drive from El Obour?

Midday is often calmer than early morning, when market and commuter traffic is heavy, or late afternoon on the Ring Road. Off-peak, the journey is usually about 40–60 minutes. Conditions vary daily, so check a live map before leaving; we send a map pin on WhatsApp.

I have a severe toothache. Should I drive to Maadi?

If the pain is severe or there is swelling, fever or difficulty swallowing, seek care from the nearest available dentist or hospital first. Delaying to travel can let an infection spread. After the urgent problem is managed, we are happy to plan longer-term treatment such as a crown, implant or denture.

Can I get a partial denture without having more teeth removed?

Often, yes. A partial denture is designed around your remaining teeth, and keeping healthy teeth usually helps it stay stable. Teeth that are loose from gum disease or badly decayed may need treatment or removal first. We examine each tooth and explain what is necessary before the denture is designed.
